| We all had a very enjoyable day at Discover Dogs when I showed Misty
in the Junior Warrant Competition and qualified her for the final which
takes place at CRUFTS. Not be out done, Russell will also be attending
CRUFTS. Although he is not entered in the breed, he will be competing

2017 Midland Counties Canine Society Judge Rosie Haywood |

It was lovely to show under Rosie, someone who has been involved in the breed for many years. Russell, CH Potterdale Platinum Plus won CC, BOB and Group 3. It meant a lot to recieve this lovely critique especially as she awarded the first CC to CH Potterdale Privilege almost 20 years ago. "This 4 year old slate dog is an outstanding example of the Breed and very much my type. He is so well-balanced in every department. Lovely shaped head, good eye colour and pigment. Arching neck into very well laid shoulders. Super topline, correct rear angulation and well set hocks. He is a joy to behold on the move and I was pleased to award him the DCC and BOB and to see he was placed third in the Pastoral Group."
We would like to thank Rosie for seeing the quality in his daughter
Misty, Potterdale Platinum Star JW and
for giving her the RCC on the day. |

April 2017 Working & Pastoral
Breeds Association of Wales Judge Andrew Brace |
|||
This was another successful show for us. Russell, CH Potterdale Platinum Plus won CC and BOB and was later Group 2 with great critiques from both judges. Group Judge: Mr Richard Kinsey's critique: G2 Bearded Collie, Ch Potterdale Platinum Plus, this imposing 4 years old male pushed all the way & was only beaten for top spot by a ‘gnats’, excels in front assembly with clean well laid shoulders & ample bone. Well proportioned in head with a sparkle in his eye that draws you to him. Well muscled throughout coupled to his framework allowing him the freedom & purpose in his stride that he looked comfortable with & capable of keeping up all day in the field. Put down to the minute all round & one that will certainly be up there with the best for sure. We were also very pleased with his kids Oliver, Potterdale Potential JW and Misty Potterdale Platinum Star JW who both won their classes. Potterdale Bilberry JW SHCM won Veteran dog. |
